The Club was pleased to induct April Lewis as a new member. She was nominated by Spencer Siegel. April had a wonderful and amazing mom and storybook childhood. She skipped two grades and excelled in math & science. Her parents had a very difficult divorce which, unfortunately, resulted in her mother and her not receiving any assistance or interaction with her dad. Her mother passed away at the young age of 39 (when April was 19). Sadly, her bother passed away 14 months after her mother. We were delighted to have Tom Wood, retired and admired Boca Raton Fire Chief as our guest speaker.  Fire Chief Wood brought his new “duty” as a chronicler of Boca’s notorious anthrax incident. A full house of members and guests watched Wood’s PowerPoint on the 2001 incident at the former American Media Inc. building. Meticulously researched, Wood stepped through each discovery and press conference, several with videos, as the story evolved from local news to a national media sensation. The tabloid’s photo editor Bob Stevens was the first fatality, and five deaths were eventually attributed to the anthrax attacks [...]

The Club was pleased to induct Jim Bulvidas as a new member.  Jim grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ and attended the local schools in the area. He then joined the US Air Force in 1962 and spent time at Da Nang Air Base, Viet Nam and Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. In 1966, he entered the real estate business. Jim is married and has two children, Steve & Diana. He presently has six grandchildren. His daughter Diana lives in Coral Springs with two granddaughters attending Florida State and a grandson in the US Army stationed in Iraq. His son Steve [...]

The Club was pleased to have Angelo Bianco, Managing Partner at CP Group LLC as our guest speaker. The company owns the property at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC). As many know, this campus was originally developed by IBM when they built and launched the IBM PC in August 1981.  Angelo attended The George Washington University where he earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Sandy L Burkart PT, OCS, Ph.D. is a retired West Virginia University Professor and Chairman of Physical Therapy.  He is a Feldenkrais movement re-education specialist in private practice with the Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine and is a teacher and consultant with Functional Rehabilitation Associates.  He received his Physical Therapy degree in 1967 from the University of Pennsylvania, his Ph.D. in Anatomy from West Virginia University in 1977 and his Feldenkrais certificate in 1991. We were delighted to have Boca Mayor Scott Singer as our guest speaker. Mayor Scott Singer is honored to have served as a strong voice for Boca Raton’s residents since he was first elected to the City Council in 2014. Scott was elected as Mayor in 2018 and re-elected in 2020 with 89% of the vote, receiving the two highest vote totals in the city's history. Singer graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in government and received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. The Club was delighted to have Jalane Meloun, Ph.D., as our guest craft keynote speaker. Dr. Meloun is a Full Professor for Barry University, teaching in the Schools of Business and of Education, Leadership, & Human Development. She instructs business, psychology, IT, HR, project management, ethics, Total Quality Management (TQM), research methods, entrepreneurship, and statistics courses. She is the past Academic Coordinator for the (Business) Administration Department. The Club was delighted to have Camila Mychalczuk (“MUH-CAL-CHECK”) as our speaker. She is proud to represent Florida Atlantic University as the Director of Local Relations.  She started her career at Florida Atlantic at the A.D. Henderson School and FAU High School as a School Counselor in March 2021 and transitioned to the Office of Government Relations in January.  The Office of Government Relations promotes and reinforces FAU as a valued community partner, advocates for the University at all levels of government, and facilitates partnerships with the community.
