Kristina Gregg Receives Boca Rotary Scholarship Funds on Behalf of FAU

Weekly Meeting September 18th, 2019

Pictured above are Pia Giannone, Chair of the Scholarship Liaison Committee, Kristina Gregg, Executive Director of Gift Planning at FAU and Club President Vanessa Havener.

This year the RCBR funded Eighteen Thousand Dollars to the FAU Foundation to cover the cost of nine scholarship recipients of the FAU/RCBR Scholarship.  These funds are then allocated to specific students via their student account to cover tuition. The average scholarship is $2,000 and if the students meets all the FAU/RCBR scholarship requirements per year the student can apply as a renewal candidate for an additional three years.

Each scholarship recipients is assigned a RCBR mentor to assist the student throughout their college experience.

The Rotary club of Boca Raton is committed to changing lives and building futures through our combined mentorship-scholarship program.  We are proud to support students at FAU and at Palm Beach State College. This is made possible through the many activities of the Rotary club of Boca Raton culminating in our OPAL award black-tie gala on January18th where we honor those community leaders who support our young people in Boca Raton.
