On Wednesday, December 21 the Rotary Club of Boca Raton held its weekly meeting at the S. E. Wimberly Library on the Boca Raton campus of Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Linda Marie Golian-Lui is the Dean of Libraries, and an active Rotarian for over 11 years. The Wimberly library includes group study rooms, a graduate study lounge4, seating for over 1,200 users, an electronic classroom, ADA workstations, an audiovisual media center, and three computer labs. We were delighted to do a Craft Talk with Todd Halls. Todd grew up in Motley, MN. Small town of a few hundred people. He is thankful to have had some amazing teachers at Motley that didn’t give up on him. He attended college at Minnesota State University Mankato and Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management after a longer than normal college career. The club came together for a holiday jam featuring bands with Club members to express our support for Marina. It raised in excess of $15,000 to help her get resettled. There were a number of musicians playing and singing including Bob Buruchian, David Dweck, Sonny Lee and Chris Maners with daughter Juliette.
