We were pleased to have Marci Schatzman become the newest member of our Club. Marci was an online content reporter for three years for Boca Voice, building the local news brand and posting 20 stories weekly via WordPress and Facebook. A former print reporter and editor, Shatzman worked for major daily newspapers and Time Inc.  She ‘hung up her dancing shoes’ as a reporter and is now pursuing remote writing and editing. We were pleased to celebrate and recognize Claudia DuBois for her 10th anniversary as the Club Administrator. Lots of members provided positive reflections on how wonderful Claudia is as a person and what she means to the club.  We also celebrated and recognized Pia Giannone for her becoming a second level Paul Harris Fellow in which she has now given $2,000 to the Rotary Foundation. Finally, our Club supports giving every Boca Raton third grader a personal dictionary. Our club was pleased to have President Elect Jeff Tromberg lead a Craft Talk with ‘Sonny’ Lee Tannenbaum. Sonny is an interior decorator, but his love is singing in a rock band called “Sonny Lee & The Straight Shooters” which he joined in 2016.  Sonny grew up in the New York, Rockland County. He went to American University in Washington. He met his wife, Melissa at a singled dance in Clifton, NJ in 1990. They have two sons.
