We were pleased to have Jamie Bond, Director of Advancement & Development, Place of Hope, as our guest speaker. She talked to the club on the terrible problem of Human Trafficking that takes all forms but involves both sexual and labor exploitation. Her very informative and interesting presentation is attached.
Place of Hope has a mission of recruiting foster families to care for the ever-present population of abused, neglected and abandoned children as well as help prevent the cycle of abuse and end human trafficking.
Jamie oversees and leads the expansion of the organization in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties. She has been with Place of Hope for six years.
In her role, Bond establishes and increases resources and revenue streams including major gifts and foundation funding, capital campaigns, general operating and annual funding. She also establishes and increases community awareness, engagement, develops and maintains existing donor relationships as well as develops, leads and executes all signature and community events.
Additionally, Jamie establishes and leads three Leadership Advisory Councils for Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties and leads a volunteer program serving foster families throughout the counties.
Bond works cohesively with Place of Hope’s Licensing and Recruitment specialists, who guide families through the state-mandated process to foster children, in finding more foster families in the community.
Jamie is Chair of the Human Trafficking Coalition of the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee and provides human trafficking presentations throughout the community.
Bond attended Northwood University in West Palm Beach, where she earned degrees in Advertising and Marketing with a minor in Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Management. Full presentation Click Here.
