Club Assembly and Bob Buruchian – Rotarian of the Year Award

This week was enjoyed as a Club Assembly at the Pavilion Restaurant. At the start of the meeting, Club President Gary Hildebrand, honored Bob Buruchian with the Rotarian of the Year Award. This was supposed to be given to Bob during the Club Installation of Officers and Directors on June 16; however, he was out of town.  The Club Assembly enabled the members to dialog among themselves.

We were pleased to have Mayor Scott Singer speak to our Club at Sugar Sand Park. We were pleased to have Wendy Santory Link, Supervisor of Elections for Palm Beach Country as out guest speaker.  She leads an award winning program of excellence for the state and nation.   Supervisor Link provided a great overview of how her organization works to help protect and insure fair and accurate election results. We were delighted to have Vytas Reid be our guest speaker this week. Vytas is the new Emmy award-winning Chief Meteorologist for the award-winning CBS 12 News at 5, 5:30, and 11 pm newscast. He is new to Florida, coming from Baltimore, Maryland, and is looking forward to connecting with the CBS 12 community. Previously he was Chief Meteorologist for WBFF FOX 45 in Baltimore for 15 years.
