Notes from Vytas’ Talk
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Admin (NOAA) says that there are, on average, 14 major tropical storms each summer and fall with 7 developing into hurricanes and 3 making landfall.
- This year they forecast 17 tropical storms with 8 developing into hurricanes and 4 making landfall.
- Normally, there is a 43% chance of one of the hurricanes making landfall while this year the likelihood is up to 60%.
- They are returning to using more traditional names (vs. Greek mythology) and will start with Anna and end with Wanda.
- Vytas also shared a day in his life and how he does on-air gigs (mostly by memory!).
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed having Vytas talk to the Club.
