Since 1957, the Rotary Club of Boca Raton has been underwriting college scholarships for local deserving students through the Club’s “Changing Lives and Building Futures” scholarship program.
This is all possible due to the generous donors and Rotarian members.
These scholarships assist worthy young men and women in our community in the pursuit of their educational dreams. The scholarship program is managed in cooperation with our partners at Palm Beach State College (PBSC) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Although we have some college students who are currently attending universities outside of Palm Beach County, these will continue until these students graduate.
Our Club’s Board has decided that we will focus on providing scholarship assistance to students entering or continuing at PBSC, students transferring from PBSC to FAU and entering Freshman as well as continuing students at FAU.
Students who are attending or plan to attend PBSC, please apply for the PBSC Rotary Scholarship at this link. We are supporting three vocational programs and also a number of general scholarships. The three vocational programs are:
- Heating and AC (HVAC)
- Marine Serving Technology
- Auto Mechanic
Students who are attending or plan to attend FAU, please apply for the FAU Rotary Scholarship at this link.
In addition to financial assistance, all scholarship recipients receive a personal Rotarian mentor to assist them in adjusting to college life, and beyond. The Mentor and Mentee both sign an agreement on what to expect and what’s required in order to help the student maintain their scholarship and be successful while attending college.
Since inception, the Rotary Club of Boca Raton’s scholarship program has aided more than 300 students with over $1.2 million dollars. The hope is that these scholars will stay in Palm Beach County and start their careers.
